Flat roof

Mounting systems for flat roofs are structures that have a special installation and fastening.

What is the difference between the installation systems of pv modules for flat and pitched roofs?

The key difference is the way of installation and fastening. If everything is more or less clear with pitched roofs, here the entire structure can be held only by attaching to the wooden bases of the roof or the metal surface of the roof covering. But, if we are talking about a flat roof, then there are options here.

Flat roofs can have different roofing, and if the roof has the ability to mount and install by analogy with the pitched one, then all issues are resolved.

And if it is impossible to attach to the roof or to the roof covering, then structures with a ballast mounting system are necessary.

DMD-TECH has developed installation systems with ballast. This allows you to install and fix a solar power plant on the roof of the building without invasion into the roof surface.

We offer two installation systems for flat roofs:

  1. East-West, with the orientation of the modules on two sides, with an angle of inclination of 10° and landscape orientation of pv modules.

  2. South 15° (10°) is the one-way direction of the modules, with a landscape orientation and an angle of inclination of 15° (or less common 10°).

The main advantage is that the entire structure is held the ballast and does not require invasion into the roof.

However, mounting systems for pv modules with the possibility of mounting to the roof can be installed on a flat roof also.

If you have any questions about the calculation of the installation system for a flat roof, then contact us and we will call you back.
